David CORDINGLEY, Keith HARRISON, Mark JOHNSTON and Malcolm BROWN are visiting 5,000 homes in East Ward to deliver “Weston East Ward Focus” and discuss issues relating to Weston-super-Mare and the Councils. It’s a mega undertaking and often quite a walk!

If you weren’t in when we called or didn’t get our leaflet, these are some of our messages:

• The Tory Council now gives pensions to councillors.  We say ABOLISH this perk. There are 92 councillors running North Somerset and Weston-super-Mare. We say REDUCE this number
• Tories tried to sell our MUSEUM but PUBLIC PRESSURE forced a change of mind. They are now intent upon selling our LIBRARY to finance TOWN HALL improvements and the purchase of a SECOND TOWN HALL in Clevedon
• PARKING and traffic are chaotic. Let’s sort out Junction 21 and help all Weston’s traffic flow more smoothly
• The TROPICANA has failed again. Lib Dem proposals for a Council funded covered pool would have cost no more than Tories plan to spend on refurbishing Weston Town Hall.
• Fill the POT HOLES !
• We must protect Weston’s HERITAGE buildings, woodlands, street trees and public parks
