All AV does is say to people “if the candidate you’re voting for doesn’t get enough votes, who else would you like to win?” – nothing complicated, it just gives everyone a chance to say more clearly who they want as their MP.
I’m voting YES because it’s fairer, more democratic and AV makes MPs try just that little bit harder to appeal to the supporters of other parties so they give them second preference.
Remember it’s still one person one vote, and YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE A VOTE TO PARTIES YOU DON’T LIKE!Leave a comment
